  1. Hi ladies, im finishing up my dining room table (love it!) and getting ready to put the laquer on the top. Do i sand, laquer, sand again, then laquer again??? Im not sure how the whole laquer thing works. How many coats and how long does it take to cure before you can use the table, using the laquer, not wax. Also how long is the shelf life on the paints? Dont think they are going to last me that long 🙂 but just wondering. Just thought of one more thing….Using the wax, will only one coat of wax do, or should i put multiple coats for more protection?
    Thanks,
    Shannon England

    • Hi Shannon….
if you are using Annie Sloan Lacquer you should sand your piece for the desired distressing you want, then lacquer with a foam roller… after drying then lightly sand/scuff the lacquer…for the second coat of lacquer water down a small amount…90% lacquer and 10% water….then apply…after drying it is ready to use – wait one night before using…
multiple coats of wax do add protection…if excessive use then do an additional coat of wax. or do more in six months or so…
shelf life is at least a year or more….add water if it is getting thick…
      glad to hear from you!
